Degollado, Jalisco, Mexico - Day 1
I have officially spent my first day in Degollado since I was about 13. I haven’t seen the entire town yet, but the town has definitely gotten larger. Today I had the opportunity to see my dad’s house in person. It is currently being built and is coming along nicely. It’s a three story home that sits atop a small hill and has a view of his pond and agave plants. After spending most of the day on the farm, we went to pick of dad’s truck in Las Limas and it began to rain really hard, so we waited a bit for the rain to calm before we left the house were dad’s truck was parked. Once on the road we headed to a small restaurant on the outskirts of Degollado. The food was pretty good, I think the restaurant was called “La Carreta.” It reminds me of the nicer Mexican restaurants we have in Los Angeles. Anyway, so far so good. I’m probably going to have to go to bed soon, because we have a long day ahead of us tomorrow.

Senor,
I was raised in Las Limas… what is your last name.
My parent’s names are Juvenal and Juanita Ornelas.
My grandmother still lives in Degollado, Catalina Reyes.
My uncle Salvador Bravo is a partner in the Degollado Tequila.
Do we know your family?
Roberto,
“Chava” Bravo, who I think is probably your uncle, is my father’s really good friend. He came by my father’s farm regularly and we visited him at his store many times. My father’s name is Juan Reyes.
How did you find my website? Google? Do you have a website? What do you do?
Hi,
I have family in Degollado as well as friends. I was trying to search for the official website of Degollado when I came across your page. My grandparents relocated from Chicago to Degollado about a year ago. My grandmother has a boutique there as well. I wonder if our families know eachother. My uncle “Chuey” is a doctor there too. He owns the clinica there. I don’t know if there are more than one now. I haven’t visited Mexico in about 7-8 years. I’m sure alot has changed. Do you happen to know what the official website is?
Thanks!!
