Last Weekend Was a Lot of Fun

June 27th, 2006 | Category: Cristina, Family, Play, Work

I was kind of hesitant to go out on Saturday, but I’m glad I did. Cris’ brother took all of us out for Cris’ sister’s birthday. We rolled in a white Cadillac Escalade limo to this club in Hollywood by the name of Garden of Eden. It was a fun night with lots of drinking, dancing, and music. I ended up getting home at around 4am. That wasn’t such a good Idea, considering I had to be at work in Santa Ana at 10am.

Work was probably one of the worst experiences ever. I was supposed to be there with another person all day from 10am until 7pm. Turns out that they had scheduled two ladies along with myself; one lady for the first half of the day, and another one for the second half of the day. The first lady showed up 2 hours late, and left a half hour early. The second girl never bothered to show up at all. So I was at El Super in Santa Ana all day, feeling sick and hungry by myself, without anyone to give me a break or keep me company, which in turn would have kept me motivated.

Sunday night I helped Cristina move back to UCLA. I was so tired I almost didn’t have any energy left to help. After I set up her computer we went down to CPK to get a pizza. It’s always fun to go there because we can have a full sit down meal for around $13. We order one pizza and split it, we ask for bread, and we only drink water (yes, we are broke college students that have to watch every penny).

Anyway, all in all it was a good weekend.

BTW, Saturday, my first client’s loan funded, so I get my commission check very soon. Also, yesterday I had an appointment in Compton that looks very promising. All right, write to you guys soon. Peace.

Awesome Weekend

June 19th, 2006 | Category: Cristina, Family, Play

All in all, this weekend was pretty relaxing and enjoyable. Friday Cris and I went to the pool with he family and cooled off from the hot summer heat. Saturday Cris and I went to Josh’s house, we had a fun night with friends, carne asada, aroz, salsa, cerveza, and a hot Jacuzzi. Sunday I went to Cris’ house for her nieces “early birthday” party. She’s turning four in a few days. They had a jumper and tons of good food; carne asada, tacos, chips, nachos, cerveza, and cake.

Today is Monday and I guess I’m back to my summer routine of working during the day and chilln’ during the night. So far, today I went all over campus and delivered a bunch of stuff and I just finished scanning a photograph for some lady that works across the hall. Soon I’ll go to lunch and have an awesome sandwich. But for now it’s just a waiting game until I decide it’s lunchtime. Peace.

Married in Vegas!

So, this Friday I took my last business final for the spring semester. I have one more final to take on Wednesday for my Art History G.E. class; AHIS 121g. It should be extremely challenging, as this class has been one of the hardest courses for me to excel in; mainly because I have a non-existing art history background. I can’t wait for this semester to finally be over so that I can concentrate on the week and a half vacation I have prior to starting my internship with Instant Capital.

Oh yeah, I just woke up and I’m feeling really tired from my trip to Las Vegas yesterday. It was, pretty much, a twenty-four hour ordeal; or shall I say trip. We woke up at four a.m. on Saturday and drove to Las Vegas; we got there around ten-ish. My brother got married in the Paris Hotel and Casino. It was nice, a simple, short, and intimate wedding ceremony in this small and ornate room with roman columns and a couple of cameras that broadcast the wedding over the internet to family members that couldn’t make the wedding. After the wedding there was a dinner reception in one of the nicer restaurants inside the hotel; sorry I can’t remember the name of it. We had a three course meal served to us. I had the filet mignon and Cristina had the Halibut plate. I don’t really like fish, but Cris’s plate was really flavorful. Overall, it was a nice day and a nice wedding. Good luck to both of you, Kim and Juan.

We left Vegas today at four in the morning, I feel so tired, but I guess it’s time to wake up since I have to start studying for my last final.

P.S. Sorry I haven’t posted in a while; I’ve been busy.
