Dave Chappelle’s Block Party - Review
I’ll have to admit, I was surprised to be sitting in a theater that was almost empty. I thought the place would be packed. After the movie, I was even more taken aback. It’s a really good movie; especially if you like quality Hip Hop music mixed with Dave’s comedy. It was filled with loads of positive energy and inspiration. I really understood what this movie set out to do; Dave Chappelle’s a smart man. He was really trying to get younger generations to understand what quality Hip Hop music is all about; positive, feel-good, eye-opening messages.
Anyway, for those of you who like Hip Hop, Dave Chappelle, Kanye West, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Common, John Legend, Dead Prez, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, The Roots, Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap, Cody ChesnuTT, Wycleff, Lauren Hill, and The Fugees, this is the movie for you.

Today we had a speaker from Banc of America Securities come and talk to us about investment banking. It was cool getting an in depth look at what it’s like to be an Analyst.
An analyst would be the lowest position (entry level) if you were to get a job in investment banking. The money is really good; many of the guy’s are easily making $60-$80,000 during their first three years. It only goes up after that. The down side is that you don’t have a lot of free time; one can easily work 70-100 hours per week. Fun huh? Well, when you’re dealing with millions and sometimes billions of dollars, it can be lots fun. Although this speaker was very informative, I wish his speech was shorter. I could have used the time to study for my Organization Behavior midterm that’s tomorrow.
