It’s Not What You See On The Outside…

January 28th, 2006 | Category: Technology

For WordPress, the world’s best personal blog publishing software, it’s all about what you see on the inside. I’m sitting here 30 minutes after upgrading my WordPress software in amazement. The new features are countless, the quality is supreme, and the ease of use is astounding. This publishing tool truly is for the person who “wants to work with his blogging software, not fight it.” Two months ago I had version 1.5.2; I thought it was great. Today, I have version 2.0, it is 100 times better than the previous version and anyone worried about upgrading should go ahead and do it. It’s easy to upgrade, took about 10 minutes, and definitely worth the time. For all of you new web users, try it, I guarantee you’ll love it. :)

It’s Not Worth It, Avoid Buy.com

Post # 3, Customer Service at Buy.com:

I checked my account at Buy.com yesterday. Guess what’s supposed to arrive tomorrow? The Calculator that has taken over 3 weeks to arrive. They claimed it would arrive 3-7 business days later, but it didn’t. After waiting 2 weeks I decided to cancel it, then 5 days after my cancellation request, it shipped anyway. Buy.com is the worst internet retailer in my opinion. They have the worst service and should be boycotted by everyone with a computer. This will be my last post concerning Buy.com.

If I were you, I would avoid Buy.com at all cost. Instead, you should use Amazon.com. They have much better service, comparable prices, and a larger variety of products.

Post # 2, Customer Service at Buy.com:

Yup, just like I thought. After putting in my cancellation request at Buy.com on Saturday, for the HP 17BII+ Financial Calculator that still hasn’t shipped, I placed an order with Amazon.com for that very same calculator. I received it today :), two business days later.

I have made a promise to myself to not purchase anything from Buy.com for at least a year. I plan on discouraging as many people from using their website as many times as possible. I’m not usually a negative person, but I honestly feel that they are conducting bad business practices. Maybe after their second IPO the management will work on improving customer service. Then maybe I will consider becoming their customer again.

As for Amazon.com, I love their service, they have low prices, and I have never had a single problem shopping on their website.
